Discover a life with more ease, freedom, & joy.
Though no one would know it, internally you’re wrestling with some big questions about your past, your worth, & your sense of purpose.
Maybe you’ve experienced…
-
You often question whether you’re doing enough, even though you rarely have time to rest. Your inner voice is highly anxious, critical, and negative, and you’re tired of never feeling good enough no matter how much you achieve.
This is especially difficult if you’re a parent watching your child struggle. The shame of not being able to “fix” things can make you feel powerless and disconnected from the person you want to be.
-
You might be dealing with skin issues, chronic pain, or trouble sleeping, and becoming increasingly frustrated when medical tests don’t show anything “wrong.” Or maybe you’ve had a history of illness, and the anxiety of medical appointments weighs heavy, bringing fears of the past creeping back.
-
Maybe you experienced emotional neglect, abuse, or trauma in the past but never labeled it as such because it felt “normal” at the time. Seeing others—like your children, friends, or even characters in a movie—face similar pain may be bringing up memories you thought you had buried.
-
You might feel trapped in a marriage, partnership, career, or family dynamic that no longer aligns with who you are. But the thought of setting boundaries or speaking up feels impossible, especially when you’ve spent so long being the loyal, dependable one who puts others first.

You’ve held these struggles in silence for so long, but now feel ready to face them—
Ready to let go of everything that’s holding you back from experiencing joy, taking up space, and showing up fully in your life.
And though it may feel scary, you don’t have to do it alone.
What is EMDR?
A process to shift your perspective & heal from what’s happened.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a way to help you process painful or overwhelming memories so they don’t feel as heavy or intrusive anymore. Many people I work with are surprised to find that after going through this process, they can think or talk about a difficult experience and feel little to no distress—it becomes something that happened, not something that still holds them back.
This process is based on the idea that our brains have a natural way of processing and making sense of our experiences, much like they do during REM sleep. When memories or emotions from those experiences get stuck—often because an event was too traumatic to process when it happened—EMDR helps “unstick” them.
Through guided and evidenced-based techniques, EMDR can help tap into your natural ability to process and heal. These techniques can include eye movements (as indicated by the acronym itself), or other forms of bilateral stimulation such as tapping on parts of the body, walking, or even drumming. These movements help activate both sides of the brain, which makes processing difficult thoughts go more smoothly.
If you’re someone who’s used to trying to “think” your way out of distress, EMDR can offer a different path by helping you reconnect with your body and emotions in a safe, manageable way. It’s not about erasing the memory, it’s about helping you feel more at peace with it so it doesn’t get in the way of you living your life.
What to expect
We’ll almost always do EMDR outdoors in nature
Doing EMDR outdoors means we can tap into the grounding, calming presence of nature while we work together. Instead of being in an office with distractions like hallway noise, we’ll find a private, quiet spot that feels best for you—maybe by a creek with the gentle sound of water or nestled among trees where you can feel the breeze and hear birds singing.
Being outside can help you feel more present and supported by the natural world, whether it’s the warmth of the sun, the rustle of leaves, or the steady earth beneath you. And don’t worry, we’ll have a plan in place in case we need to move things indoors or take a bathroom break.
We won’t jump right into the deep end—we’ll take our time
We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, starting with building tools to help you feel grounded and safe before exploring any of the things that might seem “scary” to address. Those first sessions (or the beginning of an extended intensive session, if you prefer that format) are all about strengthening your connection to the resources inside and around you, so you feel steady and supported. Once we’ve got those tools in place, you’ll be better equipped to move through the deeper parts of the process when you’re ready.
This process can be customized to your individual needs
EMDR is a powerful tool, but it’s just one part of what we can do together. We’ll adapt the process to fit you, blending other approaches like parts work, art therapy, or nature-based practices to make it as creative and personal as it needs to be. By weaving these tools into the structured phases of EMDR, we’ll create a process that feels flexible and uniquely yours while still grounded in what works.
I’m here to support you, but you’ll be in control
You’re the one in the driver’s seat throughout this process. My role is to guide and support you, but you’ll have the space to notice what’s coming up and decide what feels right to explore. We can pause or slow down anytime if things feel overwhelming, and I’ll be there to help you reconnect with the tools and resources we’ve built together.

Frequently asked questions
-
EMDR sessions with me are typically 90 minutes, and the total number of sessions depends on what you’re working through and how ready you feel to dive into the process. Some people prefer to move through it more slowly, while others find they benefit from longer intensive sessions to address specific memories or patterns. Everyone’s journey is unique, so we’ll work together to decide the pacing that feels best for you.
-
EMDR might not be the best fit if you’re in the middle of a stressful or overwhelming situation that makes it hard to feel grounded. The process can bring up strong emotions, so I focus on building tools for stabilization and emotional safety first. If we need to, we’ll stay in the early phases of EMDR—which are all about creating a strong foundation—for as long as it takes. My goal is always to go at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, with plenty of room to pause or adjust along the way.
-
EMDR is incredibly effective for working through stuck or painful memories, especially those tied to trauma. It can also help with anxiety, phobias, negative self-beliefs, and even performance-related blocks. By processing these experiences in a structured yet flexible way, EMDR can free up emotional energy and help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.
-
Yes, EMDR can absolutely work in virtual sessions! We'll adapt the tools and techniques to make sure you feel supported—even if I am not physically present in the room with you. Many people find that doing this work from the comfort of their own space actually helps them feel more grounded during the process.
